I recognise your fear
But if you will not come with me
I'll leave you here
I realise you're scared
But you're wrong to say
That no-one ever cared
We need someone
April Love
You cannot understand
There's no future
And your castle's made of sand
They cannot ever be
A place of refeuge
And security

Downfall
04:08
|
|||
Point me to the sunshine
Feathers never fail
But the wax may melt
And i'll fall
When you see the lace burn,
Won't you turn your head,
Look the other way,
While I fall
Will you bind my wounds up,
Help me soar again?
Then I swear i'll leave
You once moore
As I rise above you
I'll not turn to wave
Or ask you to cry
While I fly

Forever Dear

Our father was the grassland, our mother was the sky,
They met on the horizon and along came you & I.
Sister I'm the earth, will you meet me on the shore?
Our children are the rivers, the forests and the moors
We will live & love forever dear
While the scars cut out by men will disappear
They divide us out among them by arguments & war
But the time has come,
They are undone,
And they'll worry us no more,
Our maker didn't make us to be abused all our lives
The people who respect us are the ones who will survive,
We will live & love forever dear
While the scars cut out by men will disappear

the Star Painter
03:12

When the wind blows from the cold north west
And the sky's lit by the moon
There's no space within the village inn
There's a stranger coming soon
In his hands he holds a paperbag
On his feet shoes twice as thin,
Yet not long ago he held the hands
Of princesses, queens & kings
He's the man who painted the stars for you
In his eyes you see the fear
When he's dead, he still believes that the world will disappear.
"There's no room for you" the locals call
As he's seated by the fire
They've heard his stories all before.
Later that night he steals away,
No-one can tell me his whereabouts
But from that night, at every evening time,
One more star flickers out.
